SUNDAY: March 16, 2014: PWC is sponsoring a Mass inside the San Roque Chapel. PWC Chairman is Nap Camba, and Rolly Esguerra. It is at 1030H and Rev. Fr. Audie Mozo will officiate. MOTTO: PWC- THE BEST EVER! Sunday Dress Code.
MONDAY: March 17,2014: The Flag Raising Ceremony at Bldg 229, Subic Bay Freeport, Uniform-T-Shirt, 0800H, Assemble early. Use Right side of lawn facing Subic Bay. SIX former Base employees will assist together with the family of the late Gene dela Cruz, a former NSD and Board of Director of SBMA. Lets meet SBMA Staff and savor SRF hospitality! THIS IS THE DAY THE SOUVENIR PROGRAM IS BORN! MOTTO: SRF Tigers, Can Do and Better! Meet Chairman Roberto V. Garcia and former employees still employed by SBMA!!! TIME TO CELEBRATE with the Chairman and Administrator of SBMA. Meet the Press, bring your cameras too.
MONDAY: Part Two: LET’S LOWER THE TIME CAPSULE OF THE COMMEMORATIVE MARKER! Atty. Ruel Kabigting, Deputy Director for Business Group and SBMA Tourism Manager, together with Olongapo City Mayor Honorable, Rolen Paulino and Dr./Architect Tony Balde, Chairman, Commemorative Marker, will lower capsule at 0915H in a park behind CCPO. This is a MARKER- “dedicated to the outstanding partnership of US and Filipino employees in making Subic – THE BEST NAVAL BASE IN THE PACIFIC”. THIS IS OUR PARK! WITNESS THE HISTORICAL RELEVANCE OF OUR CONTRIBUTION AND BE COUNTED! Free coffee and donuts until supply lasts.
TUESDAY: March 18, 2014; PHOTO EXHIBITION. The signing of the transfer of Subic to the Philippine Government on display, leading to the creation of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority at Ayala Mall, 2 PM with city students, Casual Attire with IDs. Bring your friends and families. “THIS IS THE BASE BUILT THROUGH ROCK AND ROLL” dubbed- SUBIC THEN AND NOW. (and for two weeks only!) inside the Activity Center. COME ONE, COME ALL! The ribbon cutting will be done Mrs. Maribi Garcia, SBMA Director/OC First Lady Cynthia Paulino and Betty Fielder. Special participation by all photo contributors is expected.
TUESDAY: 1800H, NAVAL BASE SHINDIG- a no-host cocktail party at PIER ONE( close to PWC, by the Bay!) FOOD AND DRINKS PLUS OLDIES BUT GOODIES MUSIC AND DANCE!!!! FOR 300 PESOS PER PERSON/$8.00, and many more, PIER ONE OFFERS THE BEST OLDIES MUSIC IN THE WEST!!! PIER ONE WILL SERENADE US WITH NOSTALGIC MEMORIES. PIER ONE IS STILL THE BEST AMBIENCE IN TOWN. FRIDAY: FINAL DAY PARADE: 1500H from 7th Street, WT, Olongapo City to Remy Field.( PRIZES FOR THE MOST NUMBER OF EMPLOYEES MARCHING). MOTTO; Mas Malakas Pa at Puede Pa! We will start on time and those “oldies” can just go straight inside Remy Field. Uniform and IDs required. 50 peso ticket per person will win TEN (10) prizes worth 1,000 pesos or prizes not lower than 1,000 pesos. OPM will be incharged. FIRE DEPT/PLACARDS,PASS-IN- REVIEW, BALLOON RELEASING, RAFFLE PRIZES, TWO BANDS PERFORMING, MASS DANCING, AND MANY MORE BEING PLANNED!!!!!!! REMEMBER; OPM SAYS: no ticket-no entrance because we have to pay utilities using Remy Field. GOOD PROGRAM BECAUSE OUSTANDING EMPLOYEES WILL BE AWARDED FROM MAJOR COMMANDS. PWC will receive a UNIT COMMENDATION AWARD: “For humanitarian, outstanding people-to-people program, technical expertize to Cabanatuan City, Philippines during the July 1991 earthquake- thus earning the highest esteem of the nation to all employees of the US Facility in general, Public Works Center in particular, and strengthening FIL-AM relations”.
