US NAVY AND PHILIPPINE NAVY BANDS IN JOINT PUBLIC CONCERTS

Orient Express, the United States Navy’s contemporary music band, held free public concerts and a music clinic for Olongapo City’s high school students as part of the U.S. Navy’s community outreach activities during CARAT 2013, the recent joint maritime and naval exercises of the U.S. and Philippine navies.

The 12-man band of professional musicians, with Fil-Am Kristine Hsia ( left) in lead vocals,  is noted for its performance of high energy rock and roll music, smooth pop and jazz, and playful Dixieland acoustics.

The Orient Express was joined by the Philippine Navy band  in the public concert  at Harbor Point (below), Subic Bay Freeport and also in Olongapo City. (SBNphotos by Vic V. Vizcocho, Jr.)
