Subic Says “Ahn-Nyung-Ha-Se-Yo” To Bulgogi Brothers

When we hear the word “Gang-Nam”, what comes to mind is the widely popular beat and dance craze by South Korean rapper named Psy.  This K-pop video hit the world by storm with more than 430 million views on Youtube, earning it the Guinness citation for being the most liked video in Youtube history.

There’s another “Gang-nam” however, and it’s a district in South Korea which literally means “south of the river”.  This is where the first Bulgogi Brothers restaurant was founded.  Gang-nam and Bulgogi Brothers attest to the popularity in the country of everything Korean.

From South Korea to its first international branch in Manila, Bulgogi Brothers has won the hearts (and palates) of Filipino food enthusiasts.  This October, this Korean restaurant wows Subic with the opening of its provincial branch at Level 1, Riverwalk Harbor Point.  This branch is unique among the other 3 Bulgogi Brothers because of its VAT-free feature.

The 180-seater restaurant invites residents of Subic and neighboring towns in Zambales who are in for great meals whenever they visit Bulgogi Brothers.  They don’t have to travel far for a taste of authentic Korean dishes.

The authentic dining experience begins with complimentary side dishes such as pickled vegetables, corn, sweet potatoes and of course, the quintessential Kimchi.  A pot of complementary tea is also served hand in hand.  Then feast on assorted Bulgogi that literally means “fire meat” in Korea.  The serving includes prime cuts of beef marinated in a number of ingredients that enhance the meat’s flavor and tenderness.  Bulgogi Brothers has not only found the secret recipe to the perfect Bulgogi but also offers many ways to enjoy it – the Unyang (the classic patties), Gwang-Yang (seasoned beef with sweet sauce), Seoul (sliced beef with vegetables, fruits, onion and soy sauce).  These are cooked and served right at your table, on the spot.

Apart from their well-loved Bulgogi, there are other dishes waiting to be tasted.  Bestsellers include jjigae (stew) and noodles Kimchi-jjigae (spicy stew made with ripened kimchi, pork and tofu); Haemul Gunjung Mandu (fried dumpling with seafood and served with spicy sauce); and Dubu Steak (fried crispy tofu with teriyaki sauce and bean sprout; among others.

Cap the hearty lunch or dinner with a wide range of beverages that includes various wines, Korean Soju and fresh fruit juices, among others.  Delight in all these dishes in a contemporary Korean ambiance and décor that suggests a family atmosphere and makes everyone feel right at home with every visit.

“Bulgogi Brothers has proven that is more than just good food as it is known for in Korea,” says Jean Paul Manuud, Bistro Group of Restaurants’ Chief Operating Officer.  “Guests will enjoy the exceptional, authentic Korean food, cozy and charming ambience as well as the special quality of service that is akin to Bistro.  Soon, we will open Bulgogi Brothers in Cagayan de Oro and SM Lanang in Davao in line with our expansion plans.  This way, we bring the concept closer to more people who love Korean food.” Bulgogi Brothers’ other branches are located in greenbelt 5, Alabang Town Center and SM Mall of Asia.
