SM Security: Beyond the Basics

That’s what a good security guard should possess. Every single day, they patrol and monitor the premises and personnel to maintain safety and secure environment for customers and employees.

But, as part of SM’s Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR), SM Olongapo Security personnel headed by CRS (Customer Relations Service) Manager Joselito Isidro conducted a cleaning, repainting and trimming of trees in the Grotto of Our Lady of Pardon in Barangay Mabayuan on March 09, 2015, the sacred place where Catholic Devotees pray and pay homage.

President of “Lord of Pardon Grotto Olongapo Chapter Jaime G. Gime said, “Maraming salamat sa SM sa inyong boluntaryong paglilinis ng Grotto, nakatutuwa isipin na ang isang malaking kumpanyang kagaya nito ay binigyang pansin ang lugar namin.”

The volunteer effort was just one of the CSR activities of SM which they conduct in the different barangays in Olongapo. It can be recalled that SM Olongapo is involved in initiatives that benefit the community such as, Trash to Cash, Movie treats for Persons with Disability, Scholarship Program, Livelihood Projects, Adapt a School Project, to name a few.

Similar to this, SM also carried out some activities for Brigada Eskwela in the various schools in the city by cleaning the school premises.

SM Security personnel have previously received various commendations from Olongapo City Mayor Rolen Paulino for showing Honesty in returning lost valuable items of customers.

According to Isidro, the CSR activities of SM will regularly be felt by Olongapeños as long as SM exists. (PR-SMOL)
