The exchange program was the result of the US trip of Olongapo Mayor Rolen Paulino and Councilor Jong Cortez last September in connection with the sisterhood agreement between the two cities.

The agreement was formalized by a delegation headed by Roy and Naomi Estaris from Virginia Beach City last month.

The 10 student delegates from Olongapo City National High School and Regional Science who will fly to the US will be given a chance to share their best practice while 10 students from Virginia beach will return the favor as part of the program.

Meanwhile, the sisterhood pact is paving the way to the donation of four (4) rescue boats by Virginia Beach City led by Mayor William Sessoms Jr. who will be arriving to Olongapo on May.

Also included in the pact are business and employment related exchanges between the two cities.
