NCRPO assures intensified police visibility during Black Nazarene feast

After the holiday festivities, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) assures the public of intensified police visibility during the feast of the Black Nazarene in Quiapo, Manila on January 9, 2025.

“Our intensified police visibility in key areas, the conduct of aggressive and relentless anti-crime operations and the active participation of community members in the security coverage significantly removed the opportunity of lawless elements to commit their criminal acts.

This strategy with minor modifications will be adopted as NCRPO will secure the Kapistahan ng Nazareno in a few days,” said NCRPO chief PBGen Anthony A. Aberin. Aberin also said that the NCRPO has already deployed over 12,000 police personnel for area and route security, with an additional 2,306 support personnel from partner agencies in preparation for the annual Black Nazarene feast, which is expected to generate millions of devotees from across the country.

NCRPO’s success in providing security during the holiday festivities is attributed to heightened police visibility and strict enforcement of laws, significantly reducing crimes and untoward incidents. It also reflects the Metro Manila police force’s teamwork and unrelenting commitment to its mission to uphold safety and security for all. (PIA)
