CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Land Bank of the Philippines (LANDBANK) opened its first-ever mobile branch nationwide located in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

LANDBANK Branch Banking Sector Executive Vice President Julio Climaco said this is their latest innovation in banking which aims to reach more Filipinos in underserved communities.

“The main reason why we are launching pop-up branches like this one across the country is because the continuity of financial services is very crucial, especially during disasters and other emergency situations. By being mobile, we can serve on the go where we are needed the most,” he said.

For his part, Mayor Edwin Santiago cited its importance in assisting local government units (LGUs) in the distribution of cash grants and social ameliorations.

“This mobile branch will establish efficient, safe, and secured disbursement of cash assistance especially to our most vulnerable groups, prioritizing the seniors, persons with disabilities and Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program beneficiaries,” he said.

“Through this, they can have easy access to financial services such as account opening and maintenance, deposit, withdrawal, encashment, debit or credit memo, online collection payment, enrollment in e-banking facilities, and ATM services,” Santiago added. (PIA 3)
