KEPPEL SUBIC again conducted a week-long activity dubbed as “Brigada Eskwela” on May 19-24, 2014, in continuing support to the Department of Education’s National Schools Maintenance Week.
Brigada Eskwela is an annual activity that aims to gather stakeholders in the community to clean, paint, do minor repairs on classrooms, furniture and other facilities in public schools.
Leong Kok Weng, president of Keppel Subic, Spencer Leong, general manager and senior vice president for operations and Jen Ming Wong led over 100 volunteers to various schools, namely, Cawag Proper Elementary School, Cabitaugan Elementary School, Cawag Resettlement Elementary School, Calapacuan Elementary School, San Isidro Elementary School and Naugsol Integrated School.
Keppel Subic also provided paint, painting, cleaning and construction materials to public schools in the municipalities of Subic and Castillejos, including the President Ramon Magsaysay Elementary School, Aningway-Sacatihan Elementary School, Mangan-Vaca Elementary School, Ilwas Elementary School, and Subic Central Elementary School.
Keppel Subic, which runs a shipyard in Subic town, actively exerts effort to help improve and make schools more conducive for learning in Subic and neighbouring towns in line with its commitment to serve the community.
