NAVAL STATION ROTA, Spain. Sailors reunite with their family after the return of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Porter (DDG 78) from its recent deployment to 6th Fleet area of operations on Naval Station (NAVSTA) Rota, Spain, Dec. 10, 2021. Porter, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is on its 10th Patrol in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe and Africa. CAMP LEMONNIER, Djibouti. Forward-deployed service members and base personnel shop at a bazaar featuring Djiboutian vendors at Camp Lemonnier, Dec. 11, 2021. There were more than 85 base volunteers, 20 tables and 36 artisans and vendors. Camp Lemonnier serves as an expeditionary base for U.S. military forces providing support to ships, aircraft and personnel that ensure security throughout Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia.
