DTI features bamboo, coconut products of Zambales entreps
IBA, Zambales — About 15 entrepreneurs in Zambales joined the 5th Palinawan Trade Fair of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) held at Harbor Point Ayala Mall.
It is an annual event for Zambales Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program entrepreneurs (CARPpreneurs) under the agency’s CARP Program.
DTI Provincial Director Enrique Tacbad said the ultimate objective of the activity is to showcase the existing and new products of Zambales CARP partner beneficiaries.
“This is a joint project under the Coconut Farmers Industry Development Plan highlighting the Zambales coconut products in a special set-up,” he said.
Bamboo and coconut products were featured in the special settings, along with DTI’s Waste-to-Bayong Project for the IGLOTA Farmers Association and the native handicrafts made by the Zion Community Association.
This year’s Panaliwan is a convergence project of DTI, the Department of Agrarian Reform, and the Department of Science and Technology. (PIA Region 3-Zambales)
