CSC sets 1st Written Career Service Exam of 2016

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Civil Service Commission (CSC) Regional Office 3 invites Central Luzon residents to take the first Career Service Examination Paper-and-Pencil Test (CSE-PPT) for both Professional and SubProfessional Levels this 2016 that is scheduled on April 17.

“CSE-PPT is open to all Filipino citizens aged 18 years old and above who are of good moral character; have not been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude or disgraceful or immoral conduct, dishonesty, examination irregularity, drunkenness or addiction to drugs; have not been dishonorably discharged from military service or dismissed for cause from any civilian positions in the government; and have not taken the same level of examination regardless of mode within the last three months before the date of test,” CSC Regional Director Myrna Macatangay said.

“Passers of the Bar exams and Professional Regulation Commission-administered tests as well as those who graduated with honors need not apply as they are granted with automatic eligibility,” Macatangay stressed.

The examination in the Professional Level consists of the following subject areas in English and Filipino: vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, paragraph organization, reading comprehension, analogy, logic, and numerical reasoning.

SubProfessional Level, on the other hand, comprises vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, paragraph organization, reading comprehension, spelling, clerical operations, and numerical reasoning for both in English and Filipino as well.

And lastly, both exams have a General Information part which covers Philippine Constitution, The Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (RA 6713), Peace and Human Rights Issues and Concepts, and Environment Management and Protection.

Exams will simultaneously be conducted in over 50 venues across the archipelago including the cities of San Fernando in Pampanga, Cabanatuan in Nueva Ecija and Malolos in Bulacan as well as the town of Baler in Aurora.

An applicant must obtain a passing grade of at least 80% in order to earn eligibility that is the key for a stable job in the government.

The requirements, as well as the application form, may be downloaded from the commission’s official website- www.csc.gov.ph. Examination fee is PhP500.
