CL has new DOLE Regional Director

Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region 3 welcomed Monday its new head, Atty. Ana Dione, who replaces Raymundo Agravante.
Agravante has been assigned as the new Regional Director in Northern Mindanao.
A native of Kapangan, Benguet, Dione returns to Central Luzon after finishing her tour of duty as Labor Attache in Brunei.
Under her leadership, DOLE 3 became the first Regional Office of the agency to be conferred with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification.
“From the bottom of my heart, I’da like to thank the DOLE Regional Office 3, under the leadership of Director Agravante, for continuing the ISO. When I left this office in 2002, it was barely months after it was given its ISO recognition. The ISO, at the time, was not yet fully accepted in government. But because of the support and cooperation of the DOLE heads and personnel to the ISO, our clients and partners saw the significant improvement in the delivery of our programs and services, thus, this office became a benchmark for other DOLE offices and attached agencies to go ISO as well,” Dione said.
“And because of the realization for the need for continuous improvement in the delivery of our programs and services, no other than our Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz, has committed to have all DOLE regional offices attain ISO-certification status by 2016,” the newly installed regional chief added.
Moreover, Dione urged all personnel to seize the opportunity in attending to various trainings and seminars provided by DOLE and other agencies.
“Whenever you are sent to attend trainings or seminars, please do grab the opportunity. There is so much to learn from the DOLE, and I believe it’s one of the few government agencies, which will give you the opportunity to learn and be of service, both local and abroad. We should always continue to learn to effectively in serving others,” she said. (PIA 3)
