Barangay Patrol Personnel Training

Olongapo City Mayor Rolen Paulino hands over certificates of training and seminar completion to Barangay Police Action Team (BPAT) members from different barangays of the city, who completed the seminar regarding traffic rules and public safety.

OLONGAPO CITY-The seminar dubbed as “Barangay Traffic Aide Training Seminar” was aimed to enhance basic knowledge in traffic rules and public safety.

Olongapo City Mayor Rolen Paulino said that the seminar will strengten the OTMPS, as trained BPATS could be used as multipliers, if and when necessary.

Ret. PNP Maj. Camilo Pablo, head of the OTMPS said that the city could deputize the BPAT members who went under training by way of an executive order issued by the mayor.

“Tanods can issue citation tickets to public utilitiy vehicles but not to private vehicles,help in keeping the traffic smooth flowing and help pedestrians, especially children cross the road safely.” Pablo said.

Leony Jimenez, head of BAO said the training would greatly help members of the BPATS perporm their jobs in their respective areas.
