Armor Division highlights latest equipment

CAMP O’DONNELL, Tarlac, –Armor Division (AD) recently showcased its latest and state-of-the-art equipment.
In a capability demonstration during the 43rd Founding Anniversary Celebration of AD, the unit showcased the newly acquired Armored Personnel Carriers with Mounted Mortar System as an addition in their inventory.
Also, the repowered Commando V-150 and Simba Fighting Vehicle were introduced.
“This is not to brag what we have but to showcase the mechanized operations expertise of our personnel and the capabilities of our unit as an effective deterrent force against threats and adversaries,” Major General Robert Dauz said.
He added that the capability demonstration is a symbol of growth and empowerment to their personnel as they are handling modern equipment.
“It goes to show that our personnel are computer-literate. In fact, we are elevating our personnel recruitment to ensure that they can adapt to the hi-tech equipment of our unit,” the commander explained.
Other armored vehicles featured include Armored Personnel Carriers fitted with fully Remote-Controlled Weapon Stations and Infantry Fighting Vehicles.
This year’s anniversary celebration is anchored on the theme “Team Armor: Pambato ng Mamamayan Tungo sa Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran.” (PIA 3)
